Pulps Grading Table Of Contents Introduction

Provenance
Most of the science fiction pulps offered by TimeWarp Collectibles were
acquired from one man. Sam McCoy may be remembered by the older
attendees of World Science Fiction Conventions, where he was a dealer in
the 1950s-70s. Also an avid collector and reader, Mr. McCoy did have the
habit of putting a penciled page number on each sheet that was
unnumbered [or, as often occured, misnumbered]. Also many of the
Table of Contents pages contain [usually in pencil] the ranking of his
personal enjoyment of the stories in that issue [thus, 5th, 1st, 4th, 2nd,
3rd, appear beside most titles]. Lastly, the price he paid when he acquired
the copy [to be envied] is often in pencil at the top of the first inside pulp
page. It is primarily to his lasting credit that this collection survived and in
his memory that it is now offered.
