You pay for shipping & packaging, except as noted in the end paragraph.

If you request insurance, that is always your additional (actual) cost.

We prefer to ship to you by the cheapest way (surface mail) but this
is also the slowest way.   If you would like to upgrade the shipping to
airmail or courier please ask us for a quote when you order. The reply
will come with your order confirmation,  which may take a few days as
we must first verify the current availability of all items ordered, confirm
the exact weight of your parcel,  and then get the rates for your choice.

Please note that insurance is not available on some items, but we do
act as your insurer.  See the Warrantys & Refunds if you skipped that.

Shipping overseas  whether by surface or air is often expensive.   You
should keep this in mind when deciding to order only one or two items.
Truly, it is more economical to average your shipping costs over many
items in one order. Otherwise you may pay more for the shipping than
you do for the item, only to repeat the expense in a subsequent order.  
We will not ship A.C.E. goods to countries where they are prohibited.

For Canadian residents ONLY:     Taxes on shipments within Canada are not
subject to GST at this time.   But all shipments to Ontario, Canada addresses
must be charged PST.  This will be itemized in your order confirmation e-mail.
Note that there is no PST on books.  However, magazines and all other items
will be charged 8% on the equivalent Canadian dollar value of the goods only.

Finally, the "Good News".....
Orders for goods totalling over $300.00 in one parcel, delivered by slow
surface mail within the 48 contiguous United States and Canada will be
sent at our expense. Should you qualify for this free shipping, and wish
to upgrade to air mail, we will deduct the cost we would have absorbed
from your upgraded charges.    All you pay for is the cost of the upgrade.
